Jif Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies (No Bake Recipe)

Made using Jif's Peanut Butter & Chocolate spread and quick oats, these no bake cookies only require a handful of ingredients. Makes about 2 dozen.

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Large baking sheet
  • Wax paper

Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup Jif Peanut Butter & Chocolate spread
  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • Boil sugar, butter, and milk in a saucepan on medium-high heat for 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
    2 cups granulated sugar, 1/2 cup milk, 1 stick butter or margarine
  • Add peanut butter and chocolate spread, oats, and vanilla. Mix while hot until mixture starts to thicken.
    1/2 cup Jif Peanut Butter & Chocolate spread, 2 cups quick oats, 1 tsp vanilla
  • Drop tablespoons of mixture on wax paper. Cool at room temperature or refrigerate to set faster.

Notes

  • If you don't have Jif Peanut Butter & Chocolate flavored spread, a substitute is 1/2 cup cocoa powder and 1/2 cup of smooth peanut butter.
  • The recommended 2 cups of sugar leave the cookies very sweet, but you can cut back the amount if desired.
  • Cookies hold their shape when refrigerated. Store in a container for up to one week.
  • Also known as "Preacher Cookies."
