This year, I am excited to launch The Beekneebob Awards, a showcase of my personal favorite product tests of 2024. As a member of various consumer testing panels, I had the privilege of trying over 300 products this year. In this series, I’ll be highlighting my most-tested categories across multiple blog posts.

To kick things off, I’ve rounded up my best beauty products of 2024! These include standout picks in makeup, skincare, hair, nails, and fragrance.

A quick disclaimer: while some of these products may not have been released in 2024, they were new to me during my testing, and I believe they deserve a moment in the spotlight.

Is your hair feeling gross? Are you between washes and need a pick-me-up for your scalp? Not only does Hask’s tea tree and rosemary formula smell cool and earthy, but it also helped subdue my oily scalp while leaving my hair with a nice fragrance until my next wash. 9. good.clean.goop – The Powerscrub Scalp Detox

Like a facial scrub for your scalp, I like using a gritty product to remove buildup every now and then. Gwyneth Paltrow’s goop brand offers a shampoo and salt scrub combined into a single product, recommended as a weekly treatment. The Powerscrub Scalp Detox lathers and clarifies using chlorella as a key ingredient, giving it a greenish tint. After using it, my scalp felt squeaky clean and weightless. 

8. Givenchy Rose Perfecto Liquid Lip Balm

This lip balm reeled me in on looks alone. As someone who lived through the Y2K era, I couldn’t help but be reminded of the colorfully swirled lip glosses in scrumptious flavors from my preteen years. Now, as an adult, Givenchy offers a mature upgrade. The swirled design blends moisturizing ingredients—from hyaluronic acid to pink pepper—with tinted lip color. True to its name, Rose Perfecto smells like fresh florals. The color payoff is subtle, but the pinkish hue of #210 offers a balance of gloss, moisture, plumpness, and tint for my on-the-go days.

7. Phoera Full Coverage Concealer

When I find a concealer that surpasses my expectations for masking my dark undereye circles and redness, I want to tell the world about it! Phoera is a budget-friendly cosmetics brand, and they won me over last year with their liquid foundation. This year, I tested their full coverage concealer. It’s simply magic in a tube with a price tag of less than $10. 

6. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Hydration Revival Cleanser

A cleanser that morphs from one luxurious texture to another? Yes, please! Charlotte Tilbury’s Revival Cleanser removes makeup with a playful formula that transitions from cream to foam to milk upon contact with water. Your skin will thank you for the creamy and silky experience, and it won’t feel stripped and dry afterward. 

5. Tom Ford Ombré Leather Parfum

While this fragrance has been available for a few years, I’m told this variation differs from the original. Does it smell like leather? Absolutely! But that ‘new car smell’ blends seamlessly with soft notes of patchouli, vetiver, and amber. Ombré Leather offers a layered, cool, and floral scent profile that suits all genders.

4. Nails Inc. London Glowing Out Nail Perfector Polish

If your nails are looking dull but you still want them to look natural, let Nails Inc. freshen them up. This polish provides a shiny coat with a soft pink glow, providing the quickest way to achieve a manicure at home. The subtle results had me staring at my fingers in awe. That’s something I don’t do every day!

3. NYX Fat Oil Lip Drip

Lip oil saw a surge in popularity in 2024, and NYX’s colorful gloss lineup is a great place to start if you’re new to the trend. The sprightly scent of candied fruit and the thick applicator combine to give lips an incredibly shiny finish with just a light pop of color. There are plenty of Fat Oil Lip Drip shades to choose from, but my favorite is the cherry red ‘Newsfeed.’

2. Fenty Beauty Eau de Parfum (by Rihanna)

This classic-scented Fenty Beauty Eau de Parfum from Rihanna’s Fenty cosmetics line received a variety of reactions when I tested it with others. I’m definitely a fan. The scent is warm, enduring, and commands attention without conquering. It’s the perfect fragrance to capture the essence of Rihanna, who is known for exuding confidence and captivating attention at events. Fenty’s palette of musk, magnolia, tangerine, patchouli, and rose may come across as old-timey to some senses, but my nose says it’s timeless.

1. Garnier Erase It All Makeup Cleansing Balm with Vitamin C

If you haven’t tried a cleansing balm, you’re missing out! Garnier’s oil-based remover has a rich, buttery texture that doesn’t require water to start, and it melts away makeup gently and effectively, all while sneaking in a dose of vitamin C. After using Garnier Erase It All Cleansing Balm for my skincare routine, my face felt both clean and moisturized. And it’s not just for makeup removal—use it in the A.M. to start your day on a bright note. Did I mention it doubles as a 10-minute face mask? Who doesn’t love an all-in-1 skincare product?
